WCSD Celebrates Heavy Equipment Operator Pathway

Washington County School District would like to thank the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Sandersville Georgia for organizing yesterday's ribbon cutting for the new Heavy Equipment Operator Pathway.

It was exciting to share this day with our industry partners and the community. Washington County School District was one of 9 districts in the state to receive this grant. This pathway allows students to prepare for a career in the Heavy Equipment Operator industry, by training them on simulators. After two years in this program, students will be considered industry ready.

"We were notified that we received this grant in June of this year. The grant review team was very impressed with the support and partnerships that we had with industries in the community. We couldn't have done this without you," Amy Vickers, CTAE Director commented.

Washington County School District would like to thank everyone in attendance for their support and investment in the students of Washington County!
